On Sept. 8, 2018, Ka Punawai Ola in Kapolei, Hawaii, participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Honolulu.
Approximately 30 associates, family members and friends joined the walk in honor of their residents and loved ones with Alzheimer’s.
“Daily we come into the facility and take care of our residents,” said Kozzie Lejay, human resources director at Ka Punawai Ola and team captain for the walk. “To go out in the community and walk with our residents in mind was liberating. The walk was done on a weekend, which was nice to spend time with associates outside the facility walls. We walked as one family.”
The Ka Punawai Ola team has raised $250 for the Alzheimer’s Association.
